NFCU ATMs

Has anyone used a Navy Federal Credit Union ATM card successfully in Italy? I don't want to go there and find out too late that my ATM card from NFCU won't work in Italy. Grazie

I'm sure all those people stationed in Naple use them all the time. I'd be amazed if it was a problem. Part of Cirrus isn't it?

Don't know about your NFCU card, but I used my credit union ATM card during my 4 week trip to Europe last fall and never had a problem with it.

I used my NFCU ATM and Visa Sharecheck card. They were both fine. I can't imagine all those Navy personnel and their families having problems with theirs abroad.

Yes, we used our NFCU ATM card all over Europe, including Italy, with no problem at all. Whenever we travel we let our credit card company as well as NFCU know where we will be so that the cards are not cancelled due to a change in spending patterns though. We had no problem finding machines to use the cards...but remember since you will be using systems other than NFCU there will be fees.
