Hi Fodorites, OK! Finally decided on our next destination!!! A 2 week trip starting in London, then on to Brugge, Amsterdam and Copenhagen. I have done searches and printed out reams of info from this site, but still need to know, has anyone been to Copenhagen at the end of March?

Check out dates for Holy Week......they might be a part of late March. You can get into Thursday, Good Friday, Easter, and Easter Monday when many places are closed. This can sort of cramp your plans.

I don't claim to be a Brugge 'expert', but we were there this past April, and it was cold. Very cold. And it snowed on us in Gent. Rained daily in Brugge, and did cramp our planned visit of the town to some extent. Having said that, be sure to go through the Smedenport, the old mideivel entry. The two central squares are excellent, and you can catch a bus tour of the town there (the bus is covered). A boat tour is a must. Shopping for tapestry and lace is very good. While tapestry prices are not what you'd call a steal, there is tremendous selection and quality is very good in most stores. Chocolate is of course, the best.
We had a great casual meal at Connick, a neat little restaurant between the two squares.
Be sure to take a canal tour in Amsterdam also. Mid March is the usual opening date for Keukenhof Gardens, the most awesome and amazing display of tulips and other flowers you will ever see, anywhere, IMHO. check out their web site www.keukenhof.nl An easy day trip from Amsterdam. I'sure you've seen all this, but just a few things we felt important to mention again.

Hi - I spent 2 days in Copenhagen last March--the last week of the month. If you are looking for a weather report, well, it snowed some. It was chilly. But, really, it didn't matter. It's a lovely, wonderful city with nice (and freakishly attractive) people. The shopping street, stroget, is great as is the Nyhavn area--looks like Amsterdam. Good museums, and truly the "danish" pastries are the best things ever.
I noticed the date of your post. Is this trip still "on"?
