Does anyone know if Continental has a special security line for its elite members?

Yes, but often it takes the same amount of time, as their are tonnes of elites at EWR.

More important is to know that there are 3 sets of security entrances at Terminal C. During mid- to late-afternoon, the third set are often very crowded from those exiting from customs. So, if lines are long at one, go to another checkpoint.

so I should choose checkpoint 1 or 2 based on my gate?
If you weren't checking bags and had already printed your boarding pass how long would you leave yourself (international)?
I fly almost every week for work but always from jfk or lga and it's amazing how you get nervous when it's for yourself!

yes, just based on the gates. but if one set of checkpoint is crowded, move on.

my experience is that the lines do move quickly at EWR, despite being busy.

you still have to leave time for traffic, etc, however.

I don't screw around with traffic! train only for me!
