Go to a bar or cafe, preferably at Happy Hour.
Most people have private parties at their apartments. You will have lots of options for shopping on NYE. Things aren't what they used to be like. |
How do you know how much someone wants to spend on dinner kerouac?
Jamikins, I am just basing myself on the OP which says have a good time within limits. We all know that you and bikerscott have an extremely generous budget for your numerous trips, but sometimes it would be nice if you considered people who do not have the same financial possibilities, or the desire to have an overpriced meal in a stilted atmosphere with the elderly. (And yes, I have eaten at the Train Bleu before.) |
Where is that delightful poster who used to post pictures of her meals? Did she get run out of here?
Discussions of food seem to set some people off. |
Are you referring to the infamous Gracejoan? She has moved on to a better place.

Funny enough I have never eaten there Kerouac. It was just an example of places that are still available.
I have no idea why you are being so rude to me when I am always polite on these forums. I have no issues with people’s budgets, whether they are big or small...apparently you have issues with people with larger budgets than you can afford. Your problem not mine. There are people on this forum with way bigger budgets than ours. We spend money on food in Paris but stay in a budget hotel for less than €80 a night. Isn’t it nice that we can all decide how we spend our hard earned money. I hope you have a lovely holiday season...we will be spending ours enjoying overpriced meals in Paris and we cannot wait. |
Oh, I don't have any hard earned money anymore. It just flows into my account automatically. Much nicer for deciding how to spend it!
