Any suggestions or comments what to expect.Do they celebrate NYE big time or not?

Sure, it's celebrated big time. I don't know specifically about Berlin but I'm sure than all clubs and many pubs will have Sylvester parties. For some of them you should buy the tickets in advance. Depending on the place, tickets may include food and/or drinks. <BR><BR>Alternatively, there will be some celebrating outside at the Brandenburger Tor with an official firework at midnight. While parties in club or pubs are often sold out, the crowd starts to thin after midnight and they let in people who haven't got a ticket and arrive at 1:00 or 1:30.
