New Year's Eve 1999?

Is it too early to ask? Does anyone have a great European (Especially London or Italy) plan for New Year's Eve 1999? Should we fear "year 2000" computer glitches producting airline problems? I just returned from Italy and am planning my next year's trip. Maybe we would like to bring in the new century in a more exotic place than home. Any suggestions?

Please someone give us some ideas.
Any ideas on Tel Aviv for the turn of the century?
I keep hearing that you have to make bookings soon, does anyone know what the situation is?
Thanks everyone.

Marty

I've been thinking (a lot) about this too. Made enquiries about spending Hogmanay (31st Dec) 1999 in Paris but, so far, I've been told I'm too early to make a reservation.

If and when I find out any information I'll post it here.

Bill

I went out on the Internet and looked around a little. Here is another problem: In Greenwich, where my husband wants to go to the Millineum Dome, I read it to say there would be a celebration on December 31, 2001, since 2001 starts the new century and millineum. I'm not even sure how we will know when to celebrate since I've seen this date problem addressed in other areas as well!

Ooops! I'm confusing the issue even more--the date in my second message should be December 31, 2000 in Greenwich, not December 31, 2001.
