New LOW airfares to Europe $574.00 to Paris!

I haven't been on here in a while as the high airfares and weak dollar have discouraged my Europe travels...there's six of us and we don't go without the kids, yet... but there are some incredible new low fares to Europe for this summer. Some mid summer and some late spring early summer.

I am signed up for some alerts on several air sites but so far www.airfarewatchdog.com has done some pretty good sleuthing for me and come up with some good ones. Wish I knew about them in the past.

They are showing JFK CDG $574.00 for the summer and PHL NCE $713.00. These fares are so good now I am wondering if they will keep going down? Haven't seen these fares in a long time!

People who were snapping up "good deals" at $1,200 a pop a few months ago should pay attention and see if their airline gives refunds or vouchers when prices fall. I'd do it now in case things turn around again.

I just bought Jacksonville-Paris for September for total $755/each from 1800flyeurope.com (the base ticket price was $629)
JAX never gets in on those reaaally good deals, so I'm happy.

Same here. Philly rarely gets the great deals so we usually have to drive up to NY for the good ones. But there's some good deals out of odd airports these days.

If you are really looking for amazing deals, check out what Aer Lingus is doing right now! $300 round trip NYC to Dublin!

I'm trying to get my ducks in a row so I can fly there in June for a few weeks.

That great for the folks who live on the East Coast, but as soon as you try to fly out of Salt Lake City, the fares are still running around $1,200.

You all have fun....

Erinannie, Looks like those Ireland fares are only good for travel until the end of March! But hopefully we'll see some good ones for June. I've been seeing the mid $500.00's for June departures from the New York area.

Dayle, but these fares are hundreds of $$$ cheaper than they were last year for the same travel period so hopefully things will go in the same direction even from Salt Lake City eventually. You should sign up for fare alerts on some of these websites cause they do work. Though when you see a sale you usually have to grab seats quickly.

I'm just hopeful that across the board we'll keep seeing lower Europe fares for this summer so I can get over there. Didn't go last year.

Last year, I bought a LAX-MXP RT ticket for this May for $750, but fortunately the flight got cancelled, as Air One merged w/ Alitalia. Then, few weeks ago, I bought an open jaw ticket, LAX-FCO and VCE-LAX, for $580, all included!!! These are all weekend flights from west coast, leaving on mid-May and returning on early June. Incredible!!!

Even some open jaw tickets can gotten at a good price. I booked NYC-Paris Stockholm-SF0 for $765, leaving end of May and returning in July.

For those not in gateway cities, it might pay to look for separate cheap flights to a gateway city although the price of a hotel room at one or the other or both ends might negate any price saving.

I can't believe these fares lately. They're great. Last summer our search yielded at best $900-1,000 pp rt to Paris or London. Two weeks ago, we booked a pair of rt tickets for $1,273 ($636 each including taxes) direct from DFW to CDG via AA. I think we did alright.

I know, the fares have been fantastic. We got a fare of $470 per person on Delta for Cleveland-JFK-Athens-Cleveland for this May. So, we're off to Greece! I could not believe it, as these fares are usually $1,100 -$1,200 per person!

I really am excited about these summer fares to Europe. I just got another alert from that airfarewatchdog about a mid summer Philly to Dublin fare for $422.00 roundtrip! Looks like Ireland is pretty cheap this summer from many cities. Too bad I am not planning to go to Ireland though.

2 weeks ago we bought South Dakota to VCE, Rome to South Dakota for $627/person in May. A couple months ago they were $1400. The flights to Minneapolis (the east bound hub)are still $380.
