HI--we used that particular internet cafe daily while we were in Paris in March to check email and IM w/family in PA and CA. It took several trips before we discovered the English keyboards, so until we did, we just typed in "code" where all "q's" were "a's". ( On the French keyboard q is where a is on the English one.) It became a (somewhat lame, I admit) joke started by my brother--"Speak French, it's easy, just substitute q for a!!

Thanks for the excellent tip, Patrick! My friend got back from Paris last month and recommended to me XS Arena that has a few branches, one by St. Michel and another at the Pantheon area for example. But they charge 2 euro for 30 minutes.
So Access Academy is definitely worthwhile to check out plus those long hours are very helpful to have.

I checked the website and it's in French but I think it's saying that you can pay 1 euro per 40 minutes.
Correct me if I misinterpreted the message.

Does anyone know if the 24 hour rates of 6.80 euro and the weekly rate of 14.80 euro are still in effect?

I only used an Internet cafe in Paris once, but I just asked for an English keyboard and got one.

HI francophile--I think we paid 1 euro for 15 minutes. We just would go in and do a super quick chat and email check, but I know it got *lots* cheaper if you bought more time.

Hi socialworker, thanks, so I take it that it's possible to buy 24 hours for the 6.80 euro or so?

Because 1 euro for 15 minutes is ok-not so good.

HI again francophile, I see by their website that you were right about it being 1 euro for 40 minutes, not 15 like I remembered. But after perusing the site well, it appears that they do not show their full pricing structure online. Most of the young workers there spoke English and I got this email address from their site, so maybe if you write and ask, they will tell you what you wanted to know. Good luck. [email protected]

Hi socialworker, thanks for the email address. If I get a chance I'll send a query to them.

This place looks really nice! Thank you Patrick~

Since someone brought up this year old post, thought I'd comment. I used the place again this year, and I see I entered 14.90 euro for the week in my journal, so either it went up 10 cents or I made a mistake last year. But after my week's use, I needed to do some more so spend 6.80 for one day's use. In any case, during July they were in the midst of a huge addition apparently, but although always busy, I was always able to find an open spot with a "Qwerty" keyboard.
