new British Airways special offer: need advice

BA has special offer , fly out of NY to HTR starting at $319USD each way with 2 hotel nights free. Has anyone ever used this before? If I use the website will I actually get the correct offer(I've read here you don't)? It seems like such a great deal considerd summer is Europe busiest time. Please advise. Thanks :)

Cost out the complete price with taxes and fees. There are always so many surcharges that the information you have provided doesn't tell much.

It is pretty much the typical airline offer designed to generate revenue/seat sales.

The final amount you pay will depend on the total taxes and fees as WillTravle has indicated.

I would also check out just which hotels are included in terms of their location, etc.

We took that offer and indeed got a 2 night free in Premier Inn Hotel near Earl's court

Pretty sure you don't mean HTR. That is in Japan. Assuming you mean LHR (Heathrow)

"If I use the website will I actually get the correct offer" I don't understand your question - it is a BA offer so you can book it on their site.

No one will force you to book if the price ends up different. Which is a definite possiblity. IF the cheap seats are sold out for the dates you use. Or if the hotel you choose has no availability for the same nights and a more expensive one comes up.

There are lots of reason the price may be different - but if it is too much - don't book it.

I suppose you mean Heathrow. I did read in the paper recently that BA was having some special deals and the rates did sound very good for summer. Of course with taxes and everything I think it ends up around $900 RT or something, but that is very good for summer and to include the hotel.

4 yrs ago we bot a similar deal with ba

the hotel was a block from hyde park
some would say the room was small, but on a cost/sq ft basis, truly a bargain

i think the roundtrip tax/fees are about $250, so $550 total for flight + 2 nites is still great

That $319 is for one way based on round trip purchase, then add the usual fees and taxes. I think it will come out close to $775 +.

We've used those deals several times. You will get to choose from a couple of different hotels - check Tripadvisor before booking. Again, with taxes it will be more, but for summer travel that's not a bad deal, especially as London hotels are so pricey.
