New airline Oxford Edinburgh Newcastle routes
|
I love their use of the term "London Oxford Airport" - I suspect even O'Leary would think twice about that claim...! Anyway, good luck to them.

Well as the industry says "its easy to start an airline". Not sure there are milling masses waiting to fly these routes but time will tell.

London Oxford airport's not as O Leary-esque as you might imagine.
A significant slug of its traffic is private jets of people heading for central London or its NW suburbs. If you're coming from Hollywood, it's remarkably handy for Notting Hill and the like - and, compared to LHR, it's a completely pap-free zone. Whenever I pass it, there's an extraordinary number of very tasty looking planes scattered round. Not a windsock or a Biggles wannabe in sight. |
In case anybody had ideas about using this airline, it lasted just a week, and collapsed in somewhat doubtful circumstances.

They didn't mention it collapsed almost two years exactly to the day after the gentleman's last ex-Oxford airline failure, as well as four years after his first belly-up.
Three going phoot in four years sounds a bit careless to me. Anyone planning to use a new airline in early March 2012 might want to give it a week or three till you're sure it's not the same bloke |
