netherland & belgium 7 days pls help

Hi
we are travelling with our 2 kids age 13 & 3. have 7 nights for netherland & belgium after which we fly to geneva.
May 11- into Amsterdam, rest, canal cruise.
May 12- arhnem for some work till around 3pm, anything after that in or around that area?
May 13 - 17 free days of which we plan 16 & 17 for bruges and brussels, fly out from brussels to geneva on May 18.
what can we do on May 13,14, 15 in amsterdam. we love nature, relaxed walks, soaking in village culture, not into museums, bars, nightlife etc
Your suggestions highly appreciated.
Thanks 'n Regards!

You have not said what transport you will be using. So take your pick of things within the city of Arnhem.

Arnhem is well known for its WWII history; operation Market Garden. There's the Airborne museum in Oosterbeek.
Just north of Arnhem is the national park Hoge Veluwe, with the Kroller Moller Museum (good collection of Van Gogh, and the sculpture garden). You can cycle through the park, if you are comfortable putting your 3-year old in a child seat on your bicycle. I think the white bicycles that you get at the entry to the park have child seats. If you like nature, you'll love this.

Be aware that May 14 is a holiday in the Netherlands and Belgium. Many people take the Friday off as well; tourist areas will be busy. Museums will be open in Amsterdam, most shops probably as well, but schools are closed.
