Your opinions, please, on these Italian hotels

We'll be going to Italy in early October, and will be going with an air/hotel package. I'm the researcher this time around, and am looking at these hotels from those offered by the package provider. Any opinions on them (location, cleanliness, amenities, etc.) will be appreciated.

Rome: Regina Baglioni, Rose Garden Palace, Marcella Royale, or Quirinale

Florence: Grand Hotel Villa Cora, Grand Hotel Baglioni, Berchielli, or Adriatico

Amalfi Coast: Grand Hotel de la Ville in Sorrento, Grand Hotel Excelsior in Amalfi, Villa maria in Ravello, or Majestic Palace in Sant'Agnello

Thanks in advance.

Any input at all? I have searched for these hotels in the Rants & Raves section and found only one, the Regina Baglioni in Rome.

Hi Luna,

You might have looked already but, just in case, here are a couple of websites where you can find Hotel Reviews:

www.tripadvisor.com
www.thisistravel.co.uk

For This Is Travel, you'll find a link to "accommodation reviews" about half-way down the left hand side of the home page.

Hope this helps.

Jim

Thanks, JJBhoy, I had already checked them out at tripadvisor.com. What I was looking for was input from Fodorites themselves. Your suggestion was kind, though.

Luna,

This is probably too late, but I have been to the Villa Maria in Ravello for dinner only. The hotel is lovely and its restaurant has stunning views over the cliffs. The food was also unforgettable.

Thank you, Myrto. Your feedback is not too late at all, as we're not going until October. It's so nice to hear opinions from those who've actually been there!

We stayed at the Baglioni in Rome twice. It's not a five star but I wiould think qualifies as a 4. Location is good, staff very helpful, rooms fairly large for Italy and overall nice and moderate in price. Hope this helps.
