Hi there,

We moved here in Aug 2007. I really hope they havent changed it, it makes it so much easier for your puppies!

There's no mention of petfood on the DEFRA food import site (http://www.defra.gov.uk/animalh/ille...w/whatfood.htm). Nor of any other dry food, such as chocolate, biscuits or pasta.

More importantly, we don't have those irritating little dogs smelling us as we collect our luggage, the elaborate job creation schemes for legions of unemployable, nosey, thugs you have to go through on arriving at the laughingly misnamed Land of the Free, or the loopy paranoia about foreign food that infects Her Majesty's Government of the otherwise free half of North America

You obviously can't let the dog starve, you don't want to trust the muck in the average convenience store, but you're going to have to move the dog onto British dogfood sooner or later. So pack a few pounds of the dog's kibble in your checked baggage, sail through the Green Channel (no-one's going to stop you anyway), and keep the dog on it till you've had a chance to get a bit of local advice and try the dog out on a sample of it.

You'll probably end up on James Wellbeloved, BTW.
