Need your input on these Paris hotels..

Hello,

Going to Paris end of November. Considering these hotels. Have any of you stayed at any of these hotels? Any preference? Any of them more centrally located than others?

Duo Paris

Hotel Beaubourg

The Little Palace Hotel

Le Marais Hotel Saint Merry

Thank you!!!

I think the Duo took over the Beaubourg(it might have been the Axil Beaubourg). Hotel Saint Merry looks interesting(it's in an old church) but it's pricey by other hotel standards.
It's right on a square in the Marais.

Fellow Fodorites -
I don't have any special circumstances like I'm bringing my mom or teenage son. I don't have a limited budget request. I didn't post a 25 line paragraph all about why I want your help.
It's simple - just want your input on these hotels.
Thanks!!
:-)

Most people probably don't know anything about those hotels, unfortunately. They aren't real common, although I think I've read a few posts on the Beaubourg (the duo used to be the Axial Beaubourg). I don't stay in the Marais so can't help much, but they are all in the same general area, of course -- you probably know that.

If I had to make a preference, I would say the Duo, not far from the Hotel de Ville, is more central than the Little Palace which is near Reaumur Sebastopol metro. If it were me, I would not choose the area of the Little Palace.

Hi PG,

I think that the lack of response is because this might be the first time that they have been mentioned.

Have looked up the hotels at www.tripadvisor.com, googled them, and searched this forum?

The St. Merri is a very well known Marais hotel It is quirky with interesting decor..it may have been part of a church complex at one time. I cannot comment usefully for you since my stay was so long (more than 15 years) ago. The location is good.

I agree with EK, the St Merri is well known and has been reviewed often. Google her up and you'll probably find some nice info.

The Duo looks trendy and newly refurbished. The Beaubourg certainly looks OK.

I've stayed in the same area, but between the Hotel de Ville and the Louvre, at The Hotel Britannique. Check it out, I can recommend it. On quiet Ave Victoria, but smack dab in the center of Paris.

I don't know anything about the hotels you listed, but I agree with tomas on the Britannique. We stayed there in July and absolutely loved it!

I should add re: the Britannique, it has been recently redone, as you'll see on the website. It is mid-block, so the majority of the rooms have not much of a view. But the block is quiet, pleasant, 2 minutes from Ile de la Cite, just a great location and has a nice staff. (IMO)

And I stayed there over a Thanksgiving, PG - end of Nov is a great time to be in Paris.
