Need suggestions for three days in Montreau.

After four nights in the Bernice Oberland, we will take the golden pass to Montreau and spend three nights there. Would you please suggest activities and restaurants for our time there?

Lucky you. Charlie Chaplin home and museum. Big castle. Queen museum and studio. Take steamer trips on the lake for lunch. Go to Evian France for the day. Walk along the lake watch people. Grab pizza and other relatively cheap and varied foods along the prominade. Grab a train and take a day trip. One of my favorite places, unexpected coolness. Jealous.

The castle is an obvious one. Any interests to share?
I would go check out the vineyards at Vevey (was rained out when I was there).
There is a lot more variety in the restaurants versus BO villages, which can be a nice change. I don’t have notes handy, but we had great middle eastern and Chinese.

I think options are well covered above but would add Geneva. We spent three nights in Montreux last summer after the BO. Found restaurants to be rather uninteresting. La Rouvenaz is ok.

I wonder: What criteria did you apply in deciding upon this set of restaurants? Have you eaten at each of them?
