Need suggestions for Ireland guided tour

My mother is looking into a trip to Ireland (not sure when-- probably September or October). She has never been and would like to see as much as possible in 7 -10 days. Ideally, it would be a guided tour that stays in B&B's (she would love to stay in a castle).
She is 56 yrs old and will likely be travelling with one other person.
Does anyone know of any companies that offer guided tours. I have travelled with www.paddywagontours.com, but think they are geared more toward the younger traveller.
thanks much!

Have her check CIE tours.

But she will have a problem if she wants to stay in B&Bs. B&Bs are small - usually only 3 or 4 rooms, tho' there are some with more. They do not have space for group tours.

If there are two of them travelling together, and if they want to stay in B&Bs and small guesthouses she should definitely consider going independently . . . . . .

The Ireland Dream Tour 2005 on Sep. 23-30 may just fit the bill: http://www.irelandyes.com/irelandtours.html

We used CIE tours last Spring and were very happy with the itinerary, hotels and food. The tour is led by an Irish native and we enjoyed the history and humor,

Why does your mom and her companion just rent a car and plan her own trip. 56 is not old and driving in Ireland is not that hard. Fly into Shannon, make a big loop thru the Sw and spend the last night around the airport. Three years ago a I sat at breakfast in the Hotel In Bunratty with a group of tourist who getting on a bus for their tour. I was going home after two weeks of driving around the SW and on thier first day they wee going to a farm to see how Irish cows are milked. Get mom a rental car and come back and a lot of nice folks on this formum will plan her trip. Have fun
