Need SPECIFIC name of apt/chalet in Grindelwald

We are looking to rent an apartment or chalet in Grindelwald for 5 nights. On the Grindelwald web site, it list many many chalets/apartments by name but you can't do a search to find one that is centrally located near village center, trains, restaurants etc. they are only listed alphabetically. I randomly starting clicking the names of some and they were way on the outskirts. Can anyone give me a specific name of a chalet (or their own web site address) so I can check on availability. Thanks, Tommi

Last night on PBS Rick Steves had a program on Grindelwald. Check his website or his guidebook. We plan on do Grindelwald in the Fall.

Tommigirl, You have the Grindlewald web site?<BR><BR>There should be an e-mail on that web site where you can send them e-mails so you can ask them questions. I know that someone from the tourist osafice in Grindlewald could point you to an apartment closest to the village center. Since I've never done the apartment thing (I usually do small family run hotels), I have not a clue of what apartment would be best for you.<BR><BR>Try that e-mail from the web site.<BR><BR>"Having a good time baby, loving your life"<BR><BR>Sugar the road by Alvin Lee and Ten Years After

We have rented an apartment in Grindelwald in May of this year, Chalet Abendrot. We stayed there two years ago and enjoyed it very much. It is approximately a 15 minute walk (mostly uphill) from the train station. Our apartment has two balconies, one facing the Eiger and the other the Wetterhorn. It is in a great location. Laundry, internet, and restaurants very close by. I will be glad to give you more specifics if you like. Diane Moll.

Hello Diane~ <BR><BR>I just received an offer from Chalet Abendrot for May of this year too. I would love to hear more details about the apt/chalet before I book. Especially its convenience to public transportation (we won't have a car) as well as the views.<BR><BR>Thanks for your insights! Tina
