Need Schedule Help
My wife and I are trying to establish some time frames to visit Italy. We are planning a 3 or 4 week trip. We are looking at the fall of 08 to travel. Looking at something in either late Sept./October or Oct/Nov. We want to be in italy during the harvest of the grapes, olives and lemons. Can someone give us some information for dates when the harvest is in full swing. THANKS

You'll improve your odds of getting answers from those who know best (and do everyone else here a service, by reducing the need for all to open your question, to find what's really about)...
... by re-posting your question, with a message header like... "When in the fall is the best time to visit Italy, to catch the harvest(s) in full swing?" ...since this is what you want to know. Best wishes, Rex PS... besides grapes, olives and lemons... truffles are harvested and celebrated in early October... |
Porcini mushroom season is Sept-Oct.
I think lemons are harvested around February. ((I)) |
Oct/Nov for grapes and olives. Ira is right that the lemon harvest peaks in February or thereabouts, although lemons seem to appear all over Italy throughout the year (Lago di Garda, Amalfi, the Italian Rivera, etc). I don't know that the harvest of them is as ritualized as it is for olives and grapes.

Thanks for the helpful hint to repost. I am new at this and followed your advise. Not sure if I posted it in the best place. THANKS!
