Need Restaurants in Rome!
 

Help, am going to Rome for a quick trip and need restaurant recommendations...would love some typical trattoria's and also some nicer restaurants...any wine bars? Thank you in advance!!

Our favorite restaurant was in the Trastevere: Sprito di Vino at 31 via dei Genovesi. The phone number is 06 5896689. The restaurant was recommended in several books, as well as by the people we rented our apartment from. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was both elegant and friendly. The owners speak many languages; in the basement is the site of a very early Roman synagogue. I have sent people there in the past and they were very happy.

We loved Taverna Trilussa also in Trastevere. The chef has won awards for his special raviolis and they are amazing. The antipasta was also great. Via del Politeama, 23-25

I just went to this restaurant the other night and it was great. The name is something Chianti. But if you are looking at the Trevi fountain, directly to your right is a side road, the restaurant is up this road about a block or so and on the left. Very good.
