Need rest rec in Paris for an early dinner
Have one day stop over before continuing on. Looking for a great bistro to have an early dinner(6:30) near Gare Du Nord. Most in the area seem to open later.

Try Brasserie Terminus Nord at 23 Rue Dunkerque. They open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily.

Brasseries are open all day and late into the night..
Bistros usually have a lunch seating and a dinner seating. Dinner is rarely served before 7:00pm. |
Seems to be what I have found. Have a feeling I will be at one of the tourist traps.
Thanks |
Acutally that brasserie, Terminus Nord, gets good comments. You should know that the 10th district isn't known for any great restaurants so you can't expect much unless you are willing to travel to another district.

Try Chartier; it's one of the 19th century "bouillion" restaurants that used to serve the workers. They're open all day; the menu is varied and prices are reasonable. Our last visit there one of the patrons stood up and began singing opera; boy, did that cause the place to go silent! If you go, be sure to notice the old drawers where regular patrons could keep their napkins. And if you're a movie buff; Audrey Tatou (of Amelie fame) was in another movie where she refuses to believe her fiance is not returning from fighting in WWI and in one scene she meets with someone in Paris and they are sitting in Chartier.
