Need London email???
DH & I will be staying in London at the Holiday Inn Kensington, 100 Cromwell Rd, SW7 4ER. I need to email the hotel to find out their suggestions for transferring from Heathrow to the hotel.
Anyone know their email address or how I could find it? The Holiday Inn 800# doesn't have it. Calling the hotel is expensive & I am trying to prevent that! We prefer not to use public transp. while juggling luggage. Thanks |
If you don't have the e-mail address you can always fax them. Yes, that is a "phone call" but a very short one.
However, calling isn't expensive. Just use one of the 10-10 numbers. Pennies a minute. I use 10-10-987 but there are others that work too. |
Their e-mail address is [email protected]
It is on the website under contact us. They also have details of getting there from Heathrow on the site http://tinyurl.com/2cepkr |

Wow, that is sooo weird - I posted a reply & it disappeared. But anyway, thanks to everyone for their great info. I swear I went to the hotel site & did not find an email???? Also the HI resv 800# folks couldn't find one & even got transferred to the 800# Guest Relations Dept. & they couldn't find one???
Oh well, Fodorites are just smart & special! :-) The hotel says they can arrange car pickup for 52 pounds. If flight is delayed, we pay the extra parking charges - few pounds per hour (don't know how accurate that is??). What do you guys think? Thanks again, Julie |
It doesn't look a good offer to me. I've used Just Airports, they asked for about (don't remember exactly now !) 30 pounds and they don't charge you if your flight is delayed because they ask for your flight schedule and monitor the arrivals. Other companies also do the same. I don't think it's common that they charge for that !!
For that price, you can have a taxi (a london cab) when you arrive and there's no charging for waiting ! |
Get the 2 for 1 code for the Heathrow Express, book and pay online ..14.50GBP for 2 people and a taxi from Paddington to Cromwell Rd will be about 9 GBP.
|
Hit send too soon..the express is easy to find and use..we had a whole car to ourselves last week
|
Wasn't there just a post the other day that the 50% of codes for HEX and GEX are no longer being offered?
|
The HEX/GEX codes are no more. But 54GBP is way too much - Hotel-provided transfers are seldom a good deal. Heck - just a regular black cab would only be about 45 or 50 GBP.
Justairports - paying cash - will save you a bit over 20 GBP. |
Julie, will you have A LOT of luggage? The tube is a straight shot to Gloucester Rd. There are two flights of 12 steps however up to the lift.
Not trying to talk you out of a car service but if you're buying tube tickets anyway it might make sense. |
Sorry, but I really do think that the post is a little silly, surley Julie you could have found out this information for yourself

Get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, blightyboy? Can't most information asked for here be found by posters on their own? What's your point. I'll agree that it is silly to have a hotel arrange car service for you, that you can do for yourself and save about $40 or more. And the best advice here is that calling to London is NOT expensive. I dial 101-6400 first and it costs 5 cents or less per minute. I've sent faxes that way and they ended up on my phone bill as 4 cents to 7 cents each! Phone calls to get theatre tickets have cost me as much as 25 cents -- but only when put on hold! |
Thanks everyone for your fast & great info. I checked justairports - 31 pounds from Heathrow to HI; 47 pounds from HI to Stansted. So, I booked them. Website is easy & confirmation email received right away. As many said, definitely better than the hotel transport price.
Appreciate the tube info also. But we decided not to drag the luggage around - month's worth of stuff! Thanks so much, Julie |
