Fishing is still done most places in Greece (you'll see all the brightly painted fishing caiques) but I'm not sure about the availability of fishing charters. A lot of people seem to enjoy spear fishing as well.
Food and drink is fairly inexpensive in Greece (less than Italy). On islands like Santorini and Mykonos the restaurants are more expensive but that's not to say you can't find tasty bargains. In the cycladic islands last time I took Blue Star ferries and the Hellas ferries big catamarans both were nice and fast but we had rough seas on one trip that made disembarking quite an adventure. The tickets ranged from about $15 to to $30 per person. We usually stay in mid priced rooms with a pool and close to the beach and pay anything between $25 and $70 euros depending on the island some are just more expensive than others. We also usually negotiate for a lower price whether we do it in person on the island or from home on the phone. |
Thanks again everyone for all of the great info!
