Why do eggs sit on the shelves? In B&B's I have noticed them on the kitchen counter all day.

On the British Embassy site, I read that a/o Jan2001, residents of certain rabies-free islands can bring their dogs in under the PETS program - and Hawaii is one of the islands! So, Gloria, if you're from the Kona Coast, you can bring the pooch!

are there consigment stores/goodwill/salvation army stores in the uk or near london? moving there in oct. r

Robin, we call them "charity shops".. There are loads of them on every High Street. Most common are those run by Cancer Research, British Heart association, Scope (Spastics charity). BTW, The Salvation Army started in England.
