Need Info on Sainte Chapelle Concerts

Does anyone know on which floor the concerts at Sainte Chapelle are held? I know there's no elevator, so I'm hoping they're held on the first floor.

Thanks.

When we went, quite a few years ago, it was the ground floor.

Hi, we went to a concert at St Chapelle May 2006) and it was on the upper floor, sorry to be the bearer of bad news. If you are at all able to manage the stairs I would recommend that you go and the concert and the chapel were both so beautiful!!! Cheers, Cathie

They are in the upper chapel, which is the part with the beautiful stained glass windows. It has been a few years since I've gone, but IIRC, when arriving for a concert, we entered through the adjacent Palais de Justice compound, and so entered directly into the upper chapel, no stairs. This is by contrast to the regular tours, which I remember entering through the lower chapel and then climbing stairs to then enter the upper chapel. Hopefully someone can tell you for certain - I can't remember 100%.

Well, maybe that's what it was, b/c I distinctly remember we did not have to climb those narrow stairways to go to the concert! 1997, so memory is fading...

Hi hlg22 and Travelnut, I think you are both right about not having to climb stairs to the concert, but I do have a memory of having to go down a flight of stairs when the concert finished. I remember being whisked out of the chapel and being a bit cross that we couldn't see the ground floor.

Thanks everyone. I will check into entering through the adjacent building. My mom wouldn't be quite up to climbing those narrow stairs.
