Need hotel info for Bad Wimpfen
 

Help,help! We want to go to the Christmas market on Dec.1-2 but don't know where to stay. Has anyone stayed in that area recently and can recommend a good hotel to stay in? We prefer mid to upper range hotels in general. Thanks!

As far as I know, there aren't any upper class hotels in Bad Wimpfen, delightful though the town is. I understand the hotel that was referred to you, Hotel Neckarblick, is probably the nicest. However, three miles north of the town, in Neckarzimmern, is a castle hotel Burg Hornberg. Comfortable rooms, great views of the vineyards and the Neckar river. The Knight Gotz von Berlichingen lived there in the sixteenth century,(written about by Goethe in a play), and there are items of his in the attached museum. The fax number is 06261-18864.

I stayed years agop in BW. I think the hotel was the Sonne. Wasn't upper end, but was a nice place
