need hotel in Rome for 4
I am in need of hotel in Rome for family of 4. Good location and not to expensive. Thanks for any help.
|
I don't know what your definition of 'not too expensive' is, but we (family of 4) stayed at the Santa Chiara. It's a very nice hotel in a great location. The quad was a suite with 2 rooms and 1 bathroom.

We would b e able to help a little more if you would tell us -
When are you going? When you say family do yuo mean parents and 2 litle kids, bigger kids, teens, young adults (so what kind of room[s] you would neeed What is not too expensive to you? (For me it would be anything under $300 - but I don't know about you - do I?) |
Santa Charia is a good suggeestion.
Also look here: http://www.hotelcampodefiori.com/english/apartments.htm These apts are run by the Hotel Campo de Fiori which is right next to the apts. It may even include breakfast (?)but if not, one of the best bakeries in Rome is right on the square by the apts. Good luck. |
2 adults and 2 kids 13-11. looking for something around 150-200 jul 30 for 2 nights 2005.
|
I haven't been there, but Hotel des Artistes has pretty good reviews and has family rooms and might be in your price range. That is a fairly low price range, though.

msyfun,
As alluded to above, $300 per night for four people in Rome would be considered "budget accomodations". Hotels rooms in Rome are among the most expensive in Europe. I have no ideas to help to help you at $37-$50 a night per person especially if you want a good location. Is your hotel budget firm? |
forget Santa CHiara, it will be about twice your budget. Rooms for 4 are not so easy to come by. Most hotels have maybe a handful of such rooms, and frequently don't even mention them on their websites or other booking sites. I suggest you research budget hotels in rome, then email them directly and ask what they have for a family of 4. Your budget is tight for 4 in July.

No we can up the budget I was hoping for that price range, my travel agent suggested also that was low. Just looking for suggestions. Thanks again:)

I think it would be possible to get a convent room at that price, particularly if you don't require a really central location. In addition, you could get a room for four at a hostel.
|
Example: At this guesthouse near the Vatican, you can get two ensuite twin rooms for 74 Euros each:

Here is a quad near the Vatican - not the most central (except for seeing the Vatican!) but an easy bus, metro, or taxi to the other sights. For your budget it might be a good choice. It's 165Euro or 210USD per night.

msyfun,
I posted too soon. Here is a quad room with bath in a great location within your budget! 151Euro or 192US per night! No website or email - you need to telephone the hotel directly. http://www.eurocheapo.com/rome/hotel/hotel-primavera |
Hi,
We are going to Rome in July. It was a last minute change in our iternary. We needed a room for 4 people - 2 adults, 2 kids. After a lot of looking, I decided on Anfiteatro Flavio B And B. It is 200 Euro per night for a Quad room. It is close to the Colosseum. You can check out the reviews on Tripadvisor. Good Luck! Sandy |

The three of us (Mom , dad and son) went to Rome and stayed in the Instituto Sante Juliani de Falconeri (it is run by the Catholic church). The location near piazza navona is very good. I seem to remember that we had an unused bed in our room, so I think that they have at least one quad room. We paid about 90 Euro per night. There is a curfew and it is bathroom down the hall. Have a good trip |
