Need hotel in Paris
Help, taking my first trip to Paris Nov 25-30. I'm 28, a woman and alone. I plan on the regular attractions-Eiffel Tower, etc. I love art, antiques and will go to the Cligancourt flea market. I'd like a clean, safe hotel, with good access to the metro and restaurants. Want a modern bathroom and my budget is modest-$100-$150/night. My French is decent (???)

I'm assuming this is a last-minute type trip since Nov. 25 is just around the corner! There are many places to choose from but since you need a room practically right away I'd contact Best Western International (they have a web site and 800 number) and get something through them. It's quick and they are very reliable. Most of their hotels fall into your range. We've used them many times and had no problems. One phone call does it! No faxes, no phone calls etc. to mess with. We stayed at Residence Hotel Trocadero this last time and it was fine - small rooms but decent "modern" bathroom. Nice view of the Eiffel Tower across the Trocadero too.
Enjoy the trip!
