NEED HELP with the overnight train.

I would like to book an overnight trai nbut i am confused. I want to go 1st class so do I buy a 1st class railpass as well as a sleeper?

There would have to be some other huge reason besides one overnight train trip to spend the mega-bucks necessary to buy a railpass.
Yuko are you going to have a pass before traveling on this train or are you traveling by train to other cities as well? The reason I ask is if you have a Europass or EurailPass from raileurope.com you will see a huge savings in getting a sleeer to yourself. We traveled from Paris to Milan earlier this year via the overnight sleeper. It cost an extra $120 Euro for our own sleeper. We had already gotten a Europass before heading to Europe. Cheaper to buy pass in the US and then extra trips or upgrades in Europe. First class with a pass is not much more than 2nd class with a pass. I agree with Tom on the earlier post, don't spend a lot unless you will be traveling to other cities where a pass would be more econonimcal than point to point. Try raileurope.com, great site with schedules and maps.

Hi Yuko,
You purchase your sleeper separate from your ticket or your railpass.

RailEurope take a mark up on pointto point tickets and berths of fifty percent. Two agencies in the States take fiv e percent or so:
Euraide, offices in Florida and Germany: http://www.euraide.de/. Telephone in USA 1 941-480-1555. Fax 1 941-480-1522.
