Need help with London postal codes for Just Airports booking
A friend is going to London soon and she would like to make an on-line booking with Just Airports. She is staying at the Millennium Mayfair and the postal code is W1K 2HP. When we tried to do an on-line booking on justairports.com it looks like they do not use the entire first section of the postal code. I am unfamiliar with your postal codes but I'm thinking W1 is the code to use.
Would someone please be kind enough to take a look at justairports.com and let me know if this is the correct code to use? Thanks very much for your help. |
Yes, W1 is the correct postcode to enter.

Thank you CarrieAnn40.

I also need help with obtaining a quote from this service:
Does anyone know the postal code for ann apartment that is "across the street" from the Barbican? |
Use http://postcode.royalmail.com/portal/rm/postcodefinder
Just enter the postal address. If you don't know the full address put in as much as you know. That usually works. |
BTW, if you are unfamiliar with our postcodes, the first set of characters, 2,3 or 4 of them, defines the area, eg BA1 is in Bath, S2 is in Sheffield, KT8 in Surrey, close to Kingston-upon-Thames. The second group, usually 3 characters, gives the exact road. I think the Canadian system is very similar.
|
The 2nd part of the postcode doesn't give the road - it gives a very small area that may be as little as one property

Many thanks!
I have a preliminary quote of 37 pounds which is not much more than the price for two on the shuttle plus taxi to the flat. On their form they ask whether cash or credit card; for credit card you have to phone them. Does this sound correct? I am inclining to proceed with booking..anything else I should consider? |
I be VERY surprised if Paddington to Barbican is as little as £5 or are you considering the Heathrow Connect rather than the Heathrow Express?
If so you may as well get the Tube to somewhere like Temple (change tube at Hammersmith) and get a taxi from there which will be half the cost of the HEC and a quarter of the cost of the HEX |
I am planning to take the JustAirports transfer for 37 pounds to Barbican. (I don't know how to make the proper symbol on the keyboard!)
I have to inquire about the "parking charge" they mention on their e-mail, though... |
It's best to pay justairports with cash. It costs more if you pay with a credit card.
|
Thanks, Carrybean!
Do you know anything about a parking charge? They ask the arrival time of the flight and say that they will enter the terminal at that time. But what about waiting for baggage? I did send them an e-mail asking about these two points but have not had a response yet. I think the price makes this the obvious option for the two of us.. |
Parkign charge is what Heathrow Airport will charge the driver to park.

UPDATE: My friend has returned from her trip. She and her family were very impressed with Just Airports' service. They have already recommended JA to another friend traveing to London.
