Need help with La Seyne sur Mer/Toulon
 

I posted this on the Cruise board but the Europe boards have more activity so I'm reposting here as well...

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do in or very near La Seyne sur Mer/Toulon?

I'm on RCCL's Voyager of the Seas later this month & just realizeed that we will dock at La Seyne sur Mer rather that Toulon as posted on the website (or Marseille which was the port destination when I purchased the cruise) due to our ship's large size.

I can't find much info on what to do in La Seyne sur Mer on the internet other than going to the local beach- Plage des Sablettes. I will be there on Day Six of my cruise (after visiting Capri, Rome, Cinque Terre and Monaco) and before a week in Barcelona so I may just wing it, walk off the ship and see what happens. We are scheduled to be in port 7am-5pm. Better ideas?

I don't want to go too far away- I've spent time in Avignon, Arles, the Luberon Hill towns, St. Remy & Les Baux during more extended stays. I plan to visit Cassis and the Calanques when I have time to really explore.

St Mandrier the peninsula attached to la Seyne is quite nice but you need a car to go round (there might be buses though)
Otherwise I like Bandol a lot, less than 20km away. Nice little lively town known for its Rosé wine, great port and good beaches. Bonnes vacances!

Thank you coco. I have considered visiting Bandol and/or Sanary on the day we dock at La Seyne. I did see mention of St. Mandrier so I will look more closely at that option as well.

I need to do some homework to see if there is a bus stop within walking distance of the port at La Seyne.
