Here is the information on the day cruise from Naples. (http://idealtravel.it/veliero_tortuga.htm)

The boat is a 40 meter sail boat and departs from Molo Beverello in Naples every Sunday from June-Sept at 8:30am. It sails to Capri (with a swim stop) and then on for a short stop in Amalfi before returning to Naples. They offer a lunch buffet on board. The boat returns to Naples around 7:30pm. The cost is 65Euro per adult/ children under 12 are 25Euro and they have packages for families. For example, 2 Adults and 2 kids is 150Euro.

On Thurs and Sat nights they do a dinner cruise that also looks nice.

Their web site is in Italian, but you could email them. I believe someone in the office speaks English.

I DID NOT take the cruise yet, but hope to at some point this summer.

I did take the ferry from Pozzuoli out to Ischia for the day with my 2 nephews (age 10 and 13) plus my own 2 kids (age 3 and 6 months). We went straight to the Poseidon(http://www.giardiniposeidon.it/uk/index.html), a very cool spa with 20 thermal pools located on varying cliffs. There are 3 pools for kids (all salt water) and there is the beach. The place is paradise and we did not want to leave. It is located on the "back side" of the island facing out to the water, not towards mainland. The views are spectacular! The cost for adults is 28Euro, kids under 12 I think are 50% discount, and under 3 are free. You will have to purchase swim caps for 2 Euro a piece (or bring them with you). You could do a half-day if you arrive after 1pm. We got there at 12. So plan your ferry times accordingly (it takes about an hour or so). We could have taken the next ferry and just arrived an hour later and paid the half-day rate. The taxi driver at the port tried to charge us 30Euro, but we bargained down to 20Euro.

We brought some snacks and water with us, but I'm not sure you are supposed to. We also ate at one of the restaurants. Excellent fresh fruit and caprese salads, but pricey.

You could take the ferry from Naples too.

I would recommend staying on the island one night. My friend stayed at Villa Maria by the port, http://www.villamariaischia.it/index.html and said it was fine. She has stayed there 2 times.

She went to the Negombo Spa(www.negombo.it) which is closer to the port (cheaper cab fair!). It looks similar to Poseidon and I think I will try it next time.

Good luck and have fun!
