Need help with hotel room in Wien (Vienna)
 

I will be going in early march and planning my dates. Want to visit Wien for two days but having a hard time keeping within by budget.
I will just need a single room (one person) and want to stay in the city center since that is what I will be doing nearly the entire time.
My head is swimming with all the hotel ideas but I know nothing about them.
looking for a good, clean hotel with private bath/WC and need to keep it under 100 euros a night. Before I just sign up with oine does anyone have any help for me?

Looked at the Hotel Austria in the center of town. the rates were good but they were not in line with the hotels in the area. Anyone have info about this hotel? they have a single room for 91 euros. Any help will do.
just want to be somewhere close to the tourist stuff.

I've stayed at Pension Nossek on the Graben. They're rates are well under your budget but they only have bathrooms with showers. The staff was very helpful and the rooms had high ceilings and lots of light.

When you say those rates are not in line with other hotels, do you mean you think they are too cheap or too expensive? Because that is about what I would expect for a 3* hotel in that area at that time period, for a single room, anyway. YOu know that is smaller than a regular double room for a couple. If you go to www.booking.com, that is about the going rate for such a thing, pensions will be a bit cheaper. booking.com lists several similar 3* hotels if you want to look in area 01, about that same rate (eg, H Karntnerhof and H zur Wiener Staatsoper). Reviews on tripadvisor rate it okay, how bad could it be? I stayed in a pension in an area near the museums rather than that location, and I liked being a bit away from things. It was a nice trendy area (Spittelberg), and right in front of the Volksoper Ubahn stop, convenient for transportation, you could walk to the museums. Their single rooms with shower are a bit cheaper, around 80 euro, but may not be what you want or where you want. It was a nice pension.

Anyhoo, we stayed at the Hotel Austria a couple of years ago. No complaints. Comfortable beds, quiet, excellent breakfast buffet, very helpful reception staff. It's close to the U-Bahn, but we easily walked just about everywhere.

Yes, i thought the Hotel Austria was a bit lower than the rest of the area so it got me suspicious.
I read so other reviews and believe if I can get a room for under 100 euros then I will book it tonight.

I booked a room in Vienna using Priceline.com. We bid for a 4-star room in the City Center and ended up with the Le Meridien across the street from the Opera House, price was USD$90/night ($104 including taxes). SuperNice for price.
