Need help with Honeymoon
We're just getting started on putting together a plan for our honeymoon in Greece. I've read through a lot of awesome threads. Just wanted to get people's thoughts on what we have so far.
Any general or specific advice is welcome (things not to miss, places to stay, etc) Also, are we spreading ourselves too thin? What Dodecanese Islands should we focus on? (we're thinking Leros and/or Patmos) Is 5 full days in Crete enough? Is 4 days on Santorini too much / enough? Thanks in advance! Hi... and welcome to the Europe forum (a "place" that some of "us" treat like a second home)...
...so this is offered, sincerely... in the spirit of helpfulness. Although you are not the first, or only person to post a message with a header like this... it's a common custom here... and courtesy... to include info about your destination(s) in your message header. Would you please re-post... and mention Greece (or Santorini, Crete, Rhodes and Athens, to be even more specific) in your message header? If everyone put this kind of message header on their questions, as you have... ...it would be a bit like walking into the library, and seeing shelf after shelf filled with rows and rows of volumes... and on the spine of each one of them, you would see "Must read". So, please, do re-post... ...but even if you don't - - congratulations on your new life in marriage... and... Best wishes, Rex |
rex- I appreciate that you diplomatically stated info that first timers don't know rather than screaming at the poster turning them off of the Fodors boards.
HSaxa- I haven't been to Greece at all but I opened your post due to the vague title wondering if I might be of assistance. I would suggest you scale back on your trip to just a couple of places and really enjoy them. Checking in, unpacking, repacking, checking out, heading to the next place a couple of days later... not my idea of an enjoyable honeymoon and I'm a go go go kind of person on vacation. Leave some things to go back to for your 5th, 10th, 15th,... anniversary. Congrats! |
You know what... I should have looked more closely at your trip idea. You are staying at least a few days at each locale. I'll shut up now.
