Need help with accomadations farmhouse agriturismo cerreto
We are looking at staying at farmhouse agriturismo cerreto located near Pienza. It sounds like a wonderful place to stay with things our girls ages 6 and 8 would enjoy doing. We were hoping to stay closer to florance but thought this place or one like it might be good for our family. we will be starting in rome for 3 nights than we have 7 nights we are looking to stay in the same place with a pool in the country need a town or small city. then we will be ending in venice for 2 or 3 nights in the end of june.
has anyone stayed at this farmhouse? Or do you have anyother recomodations?
thanks in advace for your help.

I've never stayed there. Here is a good review-

I think you and the girls will enjoy the area (beautiful!) and staying for 7 nights will be very enjoyable.
I have stayed at this nearby agriturismo 5 times and cannot wait to return. The hosts are lovely people. The location is incredible.

Try to stay in Venice for at least 3 nights. Here is a great apartment, Palazzo Focarini, that I have stayed at many times. The owner is very nice and I love the location (Dorsoduro). She also offers 2 other larger apartments, both great. You can look at them on the website (links at the top of the page).

Thanks for the reply. I certainly will be looking for your feedback. Really not worried about it as it looks beautiful, and the location is great. The few post that I have seen on it have been very favorable.
We will be spending 4 days in Rome, and then a train to Chiusi. We are renting a car in Chiusi, and staying at Cerreto for 7 days.
I know you will enjoy it!

Billpat66 I have stayed at Agriturismo Cerreto near Pienza twice. It is fantastic with great people. You do need a car to access but it is only about 8-10 minutes from Pienza, and easy driving distance to many other wonderful hilltowns. Let me know if I can answer any questions about Cerreto or the area.

Thanks so much for that response Curveball.
From the web site, it did not look like we could go wrong, but I just did not seem to be able to get any recent reviews on it.
We are planning on time in Pienza, Montalcino, and Montepulciano, and just getting lost (or "misplaced" as one poster calls it) in any other small town we happen to wind up in.
We love the food and wine in that area, and love just about everything in Italy.

We love Pienza, but you can't go wrong in Montalcino and Montepulciano either. Also try to visit San Quirico, which is close, and of course go to Siena if you have never been there. I wrote a trip report covering the restaurants where we ate and the places we visited. If you want to read it just click on my name. The part on this area is in the middle of the report.
