Need help tracking down a triple room in Munich
My husband and I are taking my brother with us to Germany in April. We are looking for a triple room in Munich for the last night of our trip. The rest of the trip will be spent in apartments, where we will each have our own room. My brother is young and doesn't make a lot of money, so we offered to get a triple room and pay for it for our final night to save him some money.
The problem is that I can't find a reaonsably priced triple room in Munich that is centrally located. Since this will be our only day/night in Munich I want to be in a convenient location, preferrably within walking distance to the Marienplatz. I'm hoping for something under 125-150 euro. There doesn't seem to be many triple rooms available. Is there any hope? Thanks! Tracy |
I'd rather look for a cheaper hotel or B&B/Hotel garni/Pension where a budget of 150 € pays for one single and one double room. That should be easier to find than triple rooms.

quokka, I think you are right as I've just come to that conclusion myself.

We too enjoyed our stay at Hotel Uhland. We had a very large triple room; I don't remember the price but I know it was very reasonable.

The Hotel Royal (www.hotel-royal.de) has triples for under 144 Euros/night. Usually cheaper. It's about half a block from the main train station. Stayed there in September and thought it was an excellent value in a central location.

The Hotel Blauer Bock has triples for 135 euros. It is at Viktualienmarkt which is a block away from Marienplatz. They have a good breakfast, a helpful staff and an elevator in addition to the great location.

Thank you all so much for your replies. I will check them all out!

Tracy-- I've stayed at the Royal too and liked it. A room at the back will be quiet.
The whole hotel is non-smoking and they had a decent breakfast included. |
