Hello again..Need recommendations for a nice, clean, safe, well located hotel in Rome for 2 nights :-( (Apr.12 & 13..depart Good Friday the 14th), family 4 (13&15), Quad. Looking to catch the flavor of Rome..but only 2 nights. Could get 2 rooms if reasonable. A few suggestions by Fodorites:

Sorry, I haven't stayed in any of the hotels you have mentioned but do recall reading good things about the Pensione Panda on this forum.

I can recommend the Hotel Alimandi where our family of 4 stayed three years ago. It was not luxurious but clean and safe and should be within your price range. They have a wonderful breakfast which is included in the price. The hotel is located one block from the entrance to the Vatican Museum and we felt very comfortable walking around the neighborhood.

Hope this helps.

Hotel Julia - http://www.hoteljulia.it
(I've stayed here, but not in a quad).

Domus Julia (associated with the hotel, and I haven't stayed there) - http://www.domusjulia.it

We recently stayed at Le Suites di via Ottaviano near the Vatican and the Ottaviano Metro stop. The suites were beautiful, with marble bathrooms, and they have one quad room with a king bed and a set of bunks. It was very conveniently located and very reasonalbly priced. Book directly with Angelo, the owner at www.lesuitediviaottaviano.com.
