Need help on this Itinerary.. PLEASE
 

Hi. My friends and I are trying to finalize the cities we want to visit in Italy next summer. I would appreciate if you can give us some input on this. We basically have 17 days (including flights from and to the USA). We are thinking of visiting Venice, then head to the south (Capri, Sorrento or Positano, & Sardinia). What is the best way to go about this route. I suppose going to the northeastern part of Sardinia is a better place for us since it is closer to Capri. There are going to be 5 women on this trip ages 28-32. Which are the best place to visit that has good nightlife and nice beaches. Please advice.

Might help to list your trip objectives and interests. Are you looking for city/area options or just the best method of transport?

This is not strictly a booze and snooze trip. If that is the case we'll just head down to MIAMI :) We would also like to see some historical spots of the different cities. Yes it would be nice if you can give me some info on the best method of transportation in between the cities. Thanks so much.

Do you plan to visit Florence and Rome on your way to the south or go straight to Capri from Venice? Also, what are your interests (art, architechture, shopping, scenic areas etc.) Easier to help if we have an idea what kinds of things you want to see and do.

Hi budman. I haven't lost the others. They just changed their minds as to what cities to visit. We are still debating as to which one to go to. It can be a little stressful :(

MAMC - I believe we are flying straight from Venice to the south. We are not stopping by Florence or Rome. We will only have 17 days. As far as what interests us-- we prefer a little bit of everything. i know this sounds a little vague. What are not fond of museums. Yes we like shopping and scenic areas. Thanks again.
