Need help in Zurich
 

We are trying to decide between the Hotel Tiefenau and Hotel zum Kindli. We have stayed at the Kindli, and loved its location and ambiance. The downside was it was very noisy and the staff was fairly unfriendly. Breakfast was also very unfriendly. I have read all of the threads on the Tiefenau and think this might be a better choice but would like to hear from someone who knows both hotels. Is the walk to shopping from the Tiefenau very difficult? We have 2 small children so the distance is somewhat a concern. I also heard that the some of the rooms at the Tiefenau are dingy and dark with bad bathrooms? Please help

Unfortunately one of our Zurich specialists is on vacation right now. [Well not unfortunate for her] I would say that if the Kindli was as you say -- the averages say that the Tiefenau will be better. Absent any strong negatives I'd give it a go.
