Need Help Finding Info on ceramics company on Amalfi Drive between Positano and Amalfi
We were on the Amalfi coast a month ago and lost our information on the large ceramics shop and store half way between Positano and Amalfi on the mountain side of the highway - it is the largest place we saw all over the Amalfi coast and we want to buy a table from them!
Does anyone have this contact information - a website, email, address, or phone number?
Thanks!!!

Could it have been Ceramica Casola? They're on the edge of Positano, on the road to Amalfi. Website is http://www.ceramicacasola.it/

We did visit Ceramica Casola, but that is in Positano proper - I am looking for the large store/factory on its own half way to Amalfi on a bend in the road set into the hillside...
Thank you though!

montyw, I don't know if you are still on Fodors, but there are two shops including a factory of Ceramica Casola. I am sure if you look at the website you will see that it is the one you are looking for.

Montyw said it was not Ceramica Casola as he/shhe has been there before. I am remembering from my trips to Amalfi last week, another very small shop tucked into the hillside/mountainside as you make a sharp R-hand turn on the SITA bus as it proceeds towards Amalfi. Not sure what the name of that place was, the building color was a faded yellow-ish...maybe that is Ceramica Casola? I wouldn't think they would have a website though, but maybe they do? I suppose you could do a search within the city of Amalfi for ceramic stores/merchants, you might be able to locate it that way?

We bought a set of beautiful dishes from Picadilly along the Amalfi Coast. Look at their web site www.mcpicadilly.com to see if this is the place you're talking about. They had a lot of touristy stuff on the first floor, but if you ventured to the second floor they had exquisite dishes and furniture. I have their phone number and fax if this the indeed the correct place.

Oops...the correct web address is www.mcpiccadilly.com. I think it was a yellow building. I remember it had an entrance on the right with a bar (good lemonchello) for customers. The elevator was in a room to your left.

i was so glad to see somebody else is interested in the ceramics from Positano. I was there last week and did not have as much time as I would have liked. The ceramics there were lovely, even though some may find it "touristy." And, afterall, I am a tourist. I loved the simple animal print plates that were a typical pattern for the region. Later, I decided that I wanted some of the dinnerware enough to pay for shipping back to the US. Several stores posted signs saying they ship, too. Unfortunately, I lost the information of which stores they were. I am hoping to find them online and send the order via email. There were at least three places where I saw many beautiful hand painted dishes that had the designs that are typical for that area of Italy. Since designs always seem unique to each region, I did not find anything close to them in any of the other areas we visited. I am glad that some of them have websites. Good luck with your search. Isn't the internet great!

You ma be thinking of McPiccadilly Ceramiches - located toward the end of the Amalfi Coast. I just purchased a biscotti box from them. My suggestion is that is you wish to purchase from them tht you contact your bank and let them know you are making a purchase. I live in California and my bank called to verify that it was me. They bank was protecting me from fraud. Hope this helps.
