Need help finding house to rent in Spanish Pyrenees!
 

Hi everybody! This September we're planning a 3-week trip to the North of Spain: Spanish Pyrenees. We are looking for a small house to rent (for two people only) near Ordesa national park, in a really small town,or even better, &quot;up in the mountains&quot;. Has anyone had any experience renting houses in Spain, or does anyone have a good adress for us?<BR><BR>thanks!

This may seem an odd answer but try Britanny Ferries. They sail to the north coast of Spain too, so have houses to let in the Pyrenees. I have friends who have leased through them in both France and Spain so far without any bad experiences

Tinne, we're also thinking of going there this June but haven't started planning yet. Where do you plan to go and how will you get around? It sounds like you want to stay in one place and take day trips?

It's in the next valley to the east but makes a wonderful, easy base for touring the whole area. It's a very cute, lively, friendly mountaineering center filled with stone homes, some built in the 17th c for the Aragonese nobility, with nice bars and restaurants and shops for supplies/maps. It attracts lots of young people. Above it lies the ski center of Cerler (avoid apts. up there-they're quite dated and get too much wear and tear). <BR>We've stayed at the lovely family owned Hotel Ciria in town but looked at other options:<BR><BR>On the road in, there's the attractive Linsoles complex, a hotel and stone duplexes with a large garden area and community pool, squash and tennis courts-resort-like.<BR>www.rentalia.com/houses/file.cfm?ref=715<BR><BR>or the newish 1 bed. apts. owned by the family owned Hotel San Marsial in Benasque (which we really liked-very well cared for and nice folks).<BR>www.apartamentosaltopirineo.com<BR><BR> Hope this gives you some ideas.<BR>We have rented agrotourist homes in the Turismo Rural program in the Pyrenees, primarily in Navarra, and we've been very pleased.<BR><BR>
