Need help finding hotel
 

Looking for a hotel for one night in the Syntagma Square and Kolonaki area (near the Grande Bretagne where are friends are staying, but is too pricy for us). Free breakfast and internet would be great. Thanks for any advice.

The Pan and Arethusa Hotels are just across the square and down a sidestreet (Mitropoleos) from the GB and are much cheaper. Also on the same street are the Amazon and Metropolis Hotels. Of these the Arethusa is closest to the Square.

On Ermou Street is the Electra Hotel. Just off the upper side of the Square is the Amalia Hotel.

All the ones listed by BLL are great suggestions, but also there is the Astor & it's the closest to the Grande Bretagne. Turn right out of the GB & walk a couple of hundred yards & you're there, you don't even have to cross the square. Wonderful rooftop dining room where you eat breakfast with a view of the Acropolis.
