Need help booking flights from Athens

Hello again,

As part of a planned Eastern Europe trip next May/June, my wife and I are looking to book several flights using Aegean Airlines.

Can anyone please help with planning flights via Aegean Airlines for the following:

Athens --> Santorini
Naxos --> Athens
Athens --> Dubrovnik

We will be making the flights in May, 2018. Looking at the Aegean Airlines website today, there doesn’t appear to be many reasonably-priced flights for then.
Are there more flights available for May later on this year or early next year? Can someone recommend the best time to book the flights?
Also, do all of the flights “assume” you will be travelling light and charge per item of checked luggage or is this just a preference to fly cheaper?

Thanks and regards,
Steve

Better pricing for 2018 will be released in a few months. Just keep checking and don't forget to sign up for the Aegean Airlines email newsletter. You'll be notified when special promo fares are announced.

Oh, thank you brotherleelove. I didn't know about the email newsletter. I'll definitely sign up!

On the Aegean Airlines website you have the option of 'GoLight' and pay for checked luggage, or 'Flex' and get one 23 kg bag included in the fare. Flex is usually only a few euros more than GoLight and has fewer restrictions, so that is always my choice. All seats on the Naxos - Athens flights are Flex.

Sign up for the newsletter as brotherleelove suggested. There are usually schedule changes between now and next May, so it's too early to book flights for then anyway. When your flight is rescheduled you get an email from the airline, and have the option of cancelling if the new time doesn't suit.

Aegean Airlines often has seat sales, mostly for flights that leave very early in the morning or late at night. Flights to/from the islands are more expensive than many people think. Ryanair has some good fares, so you might check with them when their 2018 timetables are released, but you pay extra for everything with Ryanair, so read the T&Cs carefully.

Ryanair has flights between Athens and Santorini, but none to Naxos. Not sure about Athens - Dubrovnik.

Thank you very much Heimdall.
I have signed up for the newsletter so will keep a watch out for emails. Thanks very much again for the suggestions and information.
