Wheeled backpacks are neither fish nor fowl - they aren't good as a backpack as they are substantially heavier & uncomfortable and they tend not to have the capacity of a rollerbag.
In OP's case anywhere the added weight of the wheels would significantly reduce the useful luggage they could carry |
My wife and I did two weeks in Skopelos this September with just carry on luggage. We used Cabin Zero backpacks - decent size but ultralight (under and absolutely no problem boarding the two flights we had to take there and the several flights we had to take back (long story).
Also, just seen this "worlds lightest backpack" on Amazon ( http://goo.gl/g7IgXg). Apparently it's 40cm x 30.5cm x 14.5cm with a 17 litre capacity but only weighing 0.80 kg |
Did you read the awful reviews this bag got on the link you provided, Patrick? They say the bag is not at all as described and really a rip off.

nukesafe, no I'm sorry, I didn't - rushed it a bit there. My apologies to all.
I stand by the Cabin Zero bags though, even though they won't carry as much. They were really excellent. |
