Need Help! 15 day Honeymoon in Spain

Hi,

I'm planning to visit Spain for my Honeymoon during March end (2018) to Mid-april (2018).

However, I'm extremely confused about the locations to shortlist depending on the weather.

We really don't want to run into rain or bad weather during the honeymoon.

Could I please get some suggestions on the must-visit romantic places in Spain for a Honeymoon which would have good weather?

We're like a medium or a slow-paced vacation and would like a mix of cities and the countryside. Do give us your recommendations.

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
DJ.

Going by train or car? Where landing?

Perhaps fly into Madrid - spend a few days there and blast via high-speed train to Seville-2 hrs- great base with nice weather and a favorite of many here - then go by train or car to Cordoba - Granada to Malaga and the sea. For lots on trains check www.seat61.com; www.budgeteuropetravel.com and www.ricksteves.com.

@PalenQ, Would be landing by flight from India to Madrid.

How would you recommend travelling to Spain? By road or car?

How would the temperatures be in:
- Madrid
- Seville
- Granad
- Malaga
- Canary Islands?

Thanks in Advance.

For cities trains for sure - cars are useless and parking hard. And though countryside sounds neat countryside in Spain is IME rather bleak.

For weather averages:

http://www.holiday-weather.com/seville/averages/march/

check this site for various places. Coming from India it may seem cool but for Europe balmy - and don't judge trains from Indian experiences - trains in Europe are fantastic - go up to around 200mph so faster than car by a lot from say Madrid to Seville.

Try to fly back from Seville or take 2-hr train ride back to Madrid.

With 2 weeks at that time of year, I’d go for Andalusia – Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada (even though it would be a bit cool then), maybe Ronda, maybe Malaga…. You would NOT need a car for that trip.

Like Kja, at that time of year I would consider Andalusia but would consider renting. Car for at least part of the trip. One thought for a memorable honeymoon would’ve to use Paradores see http://www.parador.es/en for info. These are situated in some stunning buildings, castles, hunting lodges etc. And are in great locations.

We did their "Route of the Nazrids" Trip fo amour anniversary a few years ago which was coincidentally at the same time of year as your honeymoon and had a terrific time. They also have a lot of other routes throughout Spain - just click on the "Routes" link at tab top of the home page for some ideas.

Car would be great for a trip not involving only cities -like the routes crellston highlights. But for cities cars suck.

Ah yeh Spain's northern coast - so green as opposed to rest of Spain - lots of cool rain - not always the sunny Spain we think it is.

Northern Spain has a lot going for it, but personally, I wouldn't consider it for a trip in March or April.
