There are literally hundreds of good restaurants in London. What do you consider "moderately priced"?

And yes, do a search - there are many threads on here about eating in London.

I just noticed last week that they offer two courses for 10 pounds at Harvey Nichols 5th floor cafe in the evenings. It's a pleasant cafe, good food, and a small terrace outside if the weather is good. And there's Wagamama in the basement, for noodles, rice. That's reasonably priced too.

Restaurants in the theatre district often offer a good deal pre-theatre early evening menu.

There are a couple of lovely restaurants in Covent Gardens, and it is always a treat just to wander around the area.

How do I do a search for a thread on restaurants?

MarthaT May 17th, 2007 07:15 AM

In the search box type in London restaurants and plenty of threads will come up.
Have a great time in London, my favorite city in the world.

Wagamama mama may have misspelt the name of this chain of Thai i think food restaurants that give large portions for a good price.

We just returned from London last week. We ate mostly pub food to cut costs. But we did find Bella Italia on Evershot Street across from Victoria Station. We had a starter, 2 meals plus drinks for 37.40 pounds. We considered this reasonable for London. The food and service were excellent.

Maria's Cafe on Lower Marsh street adjacent ot Waterloo Stn is fabulously popular with locals - businessmen it seems and staff from the Old Vic across the street. A Thai cafe with good Thai stuff but also the whole gamut of traditional British cafe fare at super good prices. Very hard to find seats though anytime i've been in there. (Opposite Ian Allen's train bookshop)
