Need flat in Paris: 5th arr., close to Lux. Gardens

i'm looking for a one-bedroom, though not tiny, for a family of 3. found a wonderful place, but have not heard back from the owners (vrbo#53499) after a month. it's on the far end of blvd. st. michel closer to the pantheon. i like the area, though also need proximity to the park for 10 y.o. daughter.

i know there are dozens of other apt. rental services, but this gives me a head start!

merci,
melissa

I like www.private-paris.com and they have apts on rue Mouffetard near the Pantheon. Henri is easy to work with and always returns my emails within 24 hours.

Underhill, you're right. Too far from the garden. He does have another that is closer and although it is a 2 bedroom apt. he has very good rates.

yes, i'd rather be closer to the park if possible, but thanks for the tip.

i believe the "far side" of the park borders on the 5th, or close to it. sort of along blvd. st. michel.

amwosu. thanks for the info. I just looked at Henry's site. Which apartment(s) have you stayed in? We've rented numerous apartments in Paris over the years, most recently Sept. - Oct. '05, and most of them were disasters, so we would love a personal recommendation.

Unfortunately there is no Paris trip this year ;-(

Thanks,

Nina

I've only stayed in the rue Mouff studio listed first on his website. There are several apt. within the "House of Three Gardens" building where the studio is located. Great location in my opinion. Wonderfully peaceful and quiet yet in a bustling area as soon as you go out the big blue courtyard door.

No AC in that studio so I don't know if there is AC in any of the apt in that building which might be a deciding factor for a summer trip. I was there in mid June and it wasn't a problem for me but you never know what the temps will be that time of year.

I am slated to stay in the rue de Grenelle 1 bdrm next summer.
