Need charming London hotel
 
We'll only be able to stay 1 night and are interested in an inexpensive but very charming London hotel (w/elevator for lots of bags and w/private bathroom in room)<BR>Would like nice area.......Asking too much??<BR><BR>Thanks for your help.<BR>-Laura-

Only one night..., try the hotels around Victoria Station. That way you won't spend a lot of time in transportation. I like Tophams Belgravia on Ebury St, but I know there are others in the area that are good too. "Inexpensive" will be relative if you want a private bath.

Laura, if you want to do things the "old-fashioned way" (reading!), you can try Sandra Gustafson's "Great Sleeps in London." You can probably find it at your library. I've found a few good hotels through this book. She researches everything herself.
