Need central Brussels hotel for one summer night

We'll only be in Brussels for one day so I'd like to be within a short walk of Grand Place.

We'll arrive via the airport and leaving via Thalys to Provence. Would like to be close to the metro so we can use public transport from airport and to train station and be under 100 euros. Anyone have any recs?

During summer just walk in to the tourist office right across from the central station near the Grand Palace and book a room through them. Do not bother to make reservations ahead of time, as Brussels is literally filled with empty business class hotels on weekends and in summer. The tourist office rents these rooms out at a third or less of the normal rates. I got a room at the 3* Novotel Grand Palace for around 40 EUR. You will pay more if you reserve ahead.

Thanks to both of you. The obsessive compulsive planner in me has difficulty resisting the urge to sift through 1000s of hotel reviews, scouting dozens of search engines and finding THE perfect hotel at the best rate but I'm going to wait as suggested and get the hotel on the spot.

We stayed last summer at the Le Meridien which is located 2 blocks from the Grand Place and across the street from the main train station. We reserved the room at gtahotels.com for $117 euros (which included their $25 euro breakfast buffet) A great place at a great price.
