Need Castle In Tuscany

My husband & I had our recent wedding reception in a Castle here in the U.S. We would like to stay in a medieval castle for a couple of nights in the Tuscany area, but we are having trouble finding one that only allows a couple nights' stay or is open in November. We are going on our honeymoon to Italy next month! Any recommendations?? We would really appreciate it!

Here are two sites with castles you may want to check if you haven't already:

Beata - please look at Castello Delle Serre.

We have reservations for 3 nights this summer, and the tripadviser reviews are uniformly spectacular.

Thank you Grinisa and nevertooold for your quick responses! I have some great ideas and Castello Delle Serre seems to be my #1 choice. I am waiting to hear back from the owner. I hope to be here in less than two weeks!!

Hi

Where also are you going in Italy and how long are you staying in total?

We are going to Rome, Florence, Venice, and Soriano del Cimino...visiting some towns (which I haven't decided on yet) in Tuscany region. Any ideas are welcome! If I stay at this castello, it will be in the Siena area. Total days =12. Lots to do & see in short time!

"Need Castle In Tuscany"

ah-h-h, don't we all. ;o)

Hope you've had success. I'm bookmarking for the next trip. Actually not the next trip- that one's in less than two weeks. Make it the one AFTER the next trip.

Hmmm ! are you sure you want that in Nov.? I would not trust the heating in a castle.

Castello Delle Serre it is! The reviews were all great, and the place seems amazing! The owner has personally responded to my request and seems very helpful already! I will post my experience when I return..thanks to all!

Fellow fodorites-my apologies for not writing sooner! I have to comment on the castello delle serre and how wonderful it was. I could not have asked for better!! Charming, quaint, in a town so little you feel totally immersed in old tuscany culture (yet easy to get to)....the owner is fabulous and even cooks breakfast for you as you plan your day in Tuscany with him. Structure of castle is original but rooms are newly updated with modern amenities like a shower and comfortable bed (no TV, but that was perfectly fine with me). You feel like a king and queen here and you are treated the same. We had the honeymoon suite and the views from the turret were spectacular. (Chianti, Montepulciano,etc...) I would love to stay here for a week minimum (we stayed only three nights) and really relax. Food/wine/views/day tours in this area are fabulous. Really a great location. I could go on and on about how much I loved it here, but instead please feel free to inquire and I will be happy to give you more info.
