Need air ticket help, please!
 

I have just found a repositioning cruise from Galveston to Lisbon. Have never been to Lisbon and will have 4 sea days to relax and read so it sounds great, also incredibly reasonable! Should I try to do the air myself and if so, how? Or should I let the cruise guys handle it since I have to get home by air from Lisbon. I want the best value without going having some really strange route. Thanks in advance.

You are highly unlikely to get the best price---or anything remotely resembling it--- if you go through the airline to arrange it. I would at least try to find my own flight. Otherwise, all the money you'd save on the repositioning cruise will go to to an airline.

It would help if you posted your dates that you need the flight. There is an airline that flies out of Boston or Providence to Lisbon that ususally has good rates. So if you can't find any other deals maybe you could book that and then get a different airline from Boston or Providence to Galveston (Southwest maybe?)

The OP needs a one-way trans-Atlantic ticket from Lisbon back to Houston. The best way is to have the cruiseline do it.

He/she will not find good one-way fares like this.

Try www.mobissimo.com for RT Lisbon/Galveston (or whichever airport is near you) fares.

See if that is less than the cruise line can get you for a one-way.
